Siemens Enterprise Communications has named James O'Neill, the former chairman and CEO of CompuDyne and a veteran of Northrup Grumman, to be Siemens Enterprise's new CEO. In a statement, Siemens Enterprise's chairman, Mark Stone, said:

With a consistent track record of managing multi-billion dollar international businesses that have generated stellar revenue and profit increases, Jim O'Neill is an excellent choice to lead the organization. Additionally, his strong pedigree of technology industry experience, commitment to serving his customer base, and background in managing integrations make him uniquely qualified to lead this new company.

Stone, in addition to serving as chairman of Siemens Enterprise Communications, is managing director for The Gores Group, the private equity firm that acquired SEN earlier this year. CompuDyne is also a Gores Group portfolio company.

In his 30 years in the technology industry, O'Neill served as president of Northrop Grumman Corporation's $4.5 billion Information Technology sector. He is also a veteran of Oracle Services Industries and Lucent Technologies' Government Solutions business unit, and of Digital Equipment Corp.

The SEN statement says O'Neill's first priority will be integrating SEN with the two other companies that make up the SEN joint venture--Enterasys and SER Solutions.Siemens Enterprise Communications has named James O'Neill, the former chairman and CEO of CompuDyne and a veteran of Northrup Grumman, to be Siemens Enterprise's new CEO.
