VoiceCon, OrlandoMark Straton's keynote starts with numbers: The market revenues were down 21% in 2009, while SEN revenues were down 14%. He says Quarterly revenues were up 25% in Q3 2009, and still growing some 6% Q/Q. And he claimed U.S. revenues were up 445% in 2009.OpenScape licenses grew 21% from their 07-08 Fiscal year to the 08-09 FY.

He cites the title of a book, "Wired for Speech," noting that people's brains are hardwired for language and distinction of sounds.
