Here's the next in our series of video whiteboard tutorials: John Bartlett of NetForecast, and No Jitter blogger extraordinaire, gives a three-and-a-half-minute tutorial on the scalable video coding (SVC)technology for delivering optimal video quality over unmanaged networks (i.e., the Internet).

Before coming to BCR, he was managing editor and senior editor of America's Network magazine, covering the public telecommunications industry. Prior to working in high-tech journalism, he was a reporter and editor at newspapers in Connecticut and Texas.
